Claranor is a French manufacturer of pulsed light-based systems for disinfecting packaging surface in various parts of food and beverage industry.

The basis of sterilization is done with the help of xenon lights that create a strong white light of a wide spectrum. It is a high-power light that is released in an instant (0.3 us) in the form of a flash.

In the UV range, light has an effect on the DNA molecules of bacteria and causes mutations that prevent the bacteria from reproducing. Part of the visible spectrum of light, however, has an effect on yeasts and moulds.

This method of sterilization represents non-chemical and dry sterilization of packaging and is more effective compared to other methods of dry sterilization. In the technological process, the manufacturer ensures the operation of the system in Ultra-Clean charging applications. (degree of reduction of microorganisms – Log 3 - Log 4).
